"I recently bought a brand new car and obviously needed insurance. I have had State Farm before with my previous car and my previous agent was awesome however he retired. I went with Oscar because my parents used him while trying to inquire about insurance I had to call his office twice before I even spoke to someone. I was able to get my insurance set up over the phone with someone in his office. I also signed up for the drive safe and save program which is a bit invasive but saves a little money as State Farm is incredibly expensive. Recently when I went to check my drive and save app and noticed it said that I had no eligible vehicles and thought that was interesting. Turns out today that I get a letter in the mail saying my policy was cancelled because I forgot to sign something. Instead of reaching out with a phone call or courtesy email to remind my to sign the document my policy was just cancelled with no warning I work a full time job so it’s easy to forget something simple as signing a document. Mind you I have never spoken with Oscar nor had he ever made an effort to reach out to me. If I were looking for insurance I would look for an agent that’s a bit more considerate and communicative. I will be switching to Allstate not that I have a choice however their rates are about a 100 dollars cheaper for similar coverage."
